Privacy Policy
Last updated: December 16, 2025
1. Our Core Promise
Your contacts are yours alone. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal contact data.
Cloud Contacts operates as a direct bridge between your device and your chosen contact providers (e.g., iCloud, Google, Fastmail). Data synchronization happens directly from your device to these services. We have no "middleman" servers that store your address book.
2. Information We Handle
Account Credentials
To sync your contacts, you enter credentials (usernames, passwords, app-specific passwords, or OAuth tokens) into the App. These credentials are stored securely on your device's Keychain. They are never sent to us. They are only used to authenticate directly with your provider (e.g., Google, Nextcloud).
Contact Data
The App reads and writes contact information (names, numbers, emails, birthdays, etc.) to perform the synchronization you request. This processing happens locally on your device or directly between your device and your provider's API. We do not have access to this data.
Usage & Crash Data
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics and crash reports (via Apple's standard developer tools or similar services) to help us fix bugs and improve performance. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII).
3. Third-Party Services
The App connects to third-party services at your direction. Your use of those services is governed by their respective privacy policies:
- Google Contacts: By syncing with Google, you interact with Google's API. See Google Privacy Policy.
- iCloud: See Apple Privacy Policy.
- CardDAV Providers: If you connect to Fastmail, GMX, Nextcloud, or others, please refer to their specific privacy policies.
4. Data Security
We utilize industry-standard encryption for all connections. Because your data flows directly to your provider and credentials are stored in the secure iOS Keychain, your information benefits from the high security standards of the iOS platform.
5. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
